Puberty — What's Happening to Your Body
- Voice changes, growth of facial and body hair, genital development — all normal
- Wet dreams (ihtilam) — completely normal. Ghusl (ritual bath) is required afterward. Not sinful, not shameful.
- Increased sexual thoughts — normal. Not a sign you're a bad Muslim.
- Erections at unexpected times — normal. Reduces as you get older.
Pornography — What It Does to Your Brain
Pornography is widely accessible and widely used by Pakistani boys. What you need to know:
- It is addictive — engineered to be, like drugs
- It creates unrealistic expectations about sex, bodies, and women
- Heavy use causes erectile dysfunction with real partners — documented medically
- It trains you to objectify women, making real relationships harder
- It is haram — the Prophet ﷺ commanded guarding the eyes

Consent — Your Responsibility
- No means no. Always. No exceptions.
- If someone is drunk, asleep, pressured, or afraid — they cannot consent. Sexual contact in those circumstances is assault.
- Pakistani law prosecutes sexual assault. "She was my girlfriend" is not a defence.
- Islamic law is unambiguous: zina (fornication) is prohibited, and forcing someone is an additional major sin.
Protecting Yourself
- Do not share intimate photos of yourself or anyone else
- Women who threaten to report you unless you pay are running extortion — report to police, not pay
- Be careful about who you meet privately — yes, men are also sometimes assaulted
The Halal Answer to Physical Needs
The Prophet ﷺ told young men: "O young men, those of you who can support a wife should marry, for it restrains the eyes and protects the private parts. And he who cannot should fast, for it is a shield."
Marriage. Fasting. These are the prescribed paths.
