What Is Circulating at Pakistani Events

FIA and law enforcement data confirms the following substances are present at private parties and events in Pakistan's major cities:

Cannabis/Chars: Most common — smoked or in food. Lower acute risk but impairs judgement
Crystal Meth (Ice): Growing rapidly in Karachi and Lahore. High addiction risk, psychiatric risks, overdose possible
MDMA/Ecstasy: Present at rave-type events. Risks include overheating, dehydration, cardiac events
Prescription drug misuse: Benzodiazepines, opioids — diverted from medical supply. High overdose risk when combined
Alcohol: Illegal but widely consumed at private events. Increases risk of all other harms

Never leave your drink unattended
Never accept an opened drink from someone you don't know well
Cover your cup with your hand in crowds
Use "Angel Shot" code if available — ask bar staff for help using this signal
Signs you've been spiked: sudden extreme dizziness, confusion, nausea disproportionate to what you consumed — get help immediately, tell a trusted friend

Call 1099 (Rescue) immediately — do not wait to see if they recover
Put them in recovery position (on their side) if unconscious and breathing
Do not give water, food, or coffee — this is a medical emergency
Stay with them — do not leave an unconscious person alone
Tell emergency services what substance if you know — this saves lives and is not used to prosecute the victim
