Your Legal Rights in Pakistan
- Medical confidentiality — doctors cannot share your health information without consent
- Contraception access — you can access contraception without spousal consent at most clinics
- Informed consent — no medical procedure can be performed without your agreement
- Right to a female doctor — you can always request a female healthcare provider
- Reproductive rights — you have the right to decide if and when you have children
Know Your Body
Understanding your reproductive health is not shameful — it is essential. Regular gynaecological check-ups, pap smears, breast self-examinations, and STI testing are acts of self-care.
Recommended Health Screenings
- Pap smear — cervical cancer screening, every 3 years from age 21
- Breast examination — monthly self-exam, annual clinical exam
- STI testing — annually if sexually active with multiple partners
- HIV test — at least once, more frequently if at higher risk
- HPV vaccine — ideally ages 9-26, still beneficial up to 45
On Zinaaa: We believe informed women make safer choices. We link our users to trusted health resources and encourage every woman to prioritise her own wellbeing.
Breaking the Silence
Shame around sexual health kills. Women who don't know their rights can't exercise them. Women who fear judgment don't get tested. Zinaaa is part of a movement to end that silence in Pakistan.
